About

Hanna Salian (pen name: H. E. Salian) is an artist and author living in in the beautiful Bitterroot valley.

Hanna's artistic vision is profoundly influenced by the emotive power of Impressionism, the dramatic flair of Romanticism, and the masterful techniques of renowned artists such as John Singer Sargent, Edgar Degas, and Rembrandt. These diverse influences converge in her work, creating a unique artistic voice that resonates with both classical and contemporary sensibilities.

As an author, Hanna started writing in college, begrudgingly, as a personal improvement challenge to improve her (fairly terrible) writing skills. Years later, that challenge resulted in A Step Through The Empty and a new passion for writing. Fantasy and short stories are her preferred means of questioning morality and how people adapt in challenges.
